The first Postnatural Independent Program (PIP 2023) by the Institute for Postnatural Studies was imagined as a new learning space that could offer theoretical tools and embodied knowledge to help define and develop ideas and projects that examine postnature as a framework for contemporary creation. It emerged as an inclusive and horizontal virtual campus, in constant shifting. Structured in three online modules, and accompanied by renowned international thinkers, artists, curators, and philosophers, it was complemented by two in-person encounters in Madrid. We believe that the complex and multilayered space that emerges from conversations, ideas, shared intimacies, vulnerabilities, and propositions has real consequences in the world. Who is we? And how can we stay together, despite our differences? How can we create collectivity without sameness, and bypass the pull towards homogeneity? This book is a reflection, reverberation and resonance of our seven months together.
El primer Programa Independiente Postnatural (PIP 2023) del Instituto de Estudios Postnaturales fue concebido como un nuevo espacio de aprendizaje que pudiera ofrecer herramientas teóricas y conocimientos incorporados para ayudar a definir y desarrollar ideas y proyectos que examinen la postnaturaleza como un marco para la creación contemporánea. Surgió como un campus virtual inclusivo y horizontal, en constante cambio. Estructurado en tres módulos en línea y acompañado de pensadores, artistas, curadores y filósofos internacionales de renombre, se complementó con dos encuentros presenciales en Madrid. Creemos que el espacio complejo y multidimensional que surge de las conversaciones, ideas, intimidades compartidas, vulnerabilidades y propuestas tiene consecuencias reales en el mundo. ¿Quiénes son "nosotros"? ¿Y cómo podemos "permanecer juntos", a pesar de nuestras diferencias? ¿Cómo podemos "crear colectividad" sin homogeneidad y evitar la atracción hacia la uniformidad? Este libro es una reflexión, reverberación y resonancia de nuestros siete meses juntos.
